I was just wondering if my american PS3 can play japanese ps2 games? More specifically Initial D. thank you.

most likely not.. considering sony's history with imported games.

they even sued an online import seller into oblivion for selling psp's in the wrong country.

edit: ..and the fact that a lot of ps2 games dont work on it yet anyway

You could always pick up a modded PS2 for cheap.

Or do what I did; take the cover off the top (as if you were fixing the disc-read error) and get a SwapMagic disc.

Plays backups, imports, EVERYTHING!!

i just bought a 160 gig psx on ebay so you can come play it at my house. IF you can get battlegear out of it that is
