Just found out I have a remote starter...lol

Yea, so I'm at the local ACME and heading to the bank inside, I press the lock button twice by accident and my horn sounds 2wice, no big deal, right?

Well, I come outside, and my car is running, lights are on and stereo is on and playing. I'm like WTF, did someone try and break in or something? I get in and press the brake and the car shuts off. I get home and try to re-enact the previous situation and lock the car twice, making sure to sound the horn twice like before and it starts up after a few seconds.

GM factory remote start? I can't find it ANYWHERE in my manual, and my keyless entry remote is a GM and not aftermarket. Can't find any aftermarket modules in the engine bay or under the dash....

Anyone ever heard of this? Car is in my sig

It is possible for aftermarket alarms to learn the stock remotes

thanks people for the advice...yea, since it was the last year of the Jimmy maybe it had some extra features. markley, it is possible but I can't find anything in the car that would tell me there is an aftermarket module....hmmm
