Torque Sticks?

I am not sure if this is the right forum but here it is anyway...

Have any of you heard of these torque sockets? The Accutorque brand is listed all over the Hyundai manuals. They are really cool looking and seem like they work. Hell if a auto manufacturer lists the exact color to use in their manual, they have to work right?

Anyone ever use them? Comments?

Used these when I worked at NTB, they're mainly for use with impact guns. They work ok I guess.

yea they're only for impact guns. They work good, we have them in my shop at my tech school.

They work, but they wear out, and they're certainly not exact, not even when new.

my service manager was always busting my balls about not using these, even though i never had a problem. so to shut him up i bought one off of snap-on that has just a 1/2 in adapter at the end so you can use different sockets for different sized lugs.

I seen these in a discussion about torquing your lug nuts on another site. I had never heard about them before but they looked cool. I guess they are nothing new though. Ohh well.

they are a pain in the ass because you have to dial in the impact wrench to use them. just use a torque wrench, much easier imo
