Bowling
Just as the Title says, this thread is about bowling. I'm a big fan but never have been any good. I bowl an average of maybe 100-130 pins a game. Which is pretty crappy for someone that bowls as much as i do. I was wondering if anyone else bowls and is maybe on a league and could let me know how i get one one. Oh, I guess post your averages on here as well So I can be humiliated. BTW, I bowled a 198 this passed weekend which is rare and i've only bowled over a 200 3 or 4 times in my life....

go f*k yourself. j/p everybody likes something different.
i bowl, 205 avg..... just go to your local bowling center and ask for flyers, also, go to bowlbrunswick.com ... ithink thats the site, sign up with the location nearest you and tehy will e-mail coupons and info on new leagues forming. if you're seriously interested i suggest you buy urethane ball, get it drilled, and start practicing

I'll definitly have to check that out. I don't know if i'll get a ball yet.... I wouldn't want to bring it to the bowling alley and bowl 100. hahaha. Thanks for the info on all that though. I'll post pics whenever I buy a ureawhatchamacallit ball.

I used to be in a couple leagues a season and bowl all the time but I haven't been in a league in a few years now. I used to average about 215 in my prime, but it would take me a while to get to that point again (I was bowling nearly every day at that point).
My advice would definitely be to get a Urethane ball drilled for your hand, and just practice practice practice, just like anyother sport or hobby you'll get better with time. If you don't have money to invest in a Urethane ball, atleast go for a plastic ball (similar to rental balls but a little better quality) drilled for your hand. Thats what I started with when Iwas getting into it in middle school. You'd be surprised how much a ball with the proper weight, and finger inserts put in it will help. Good Luck!

Me and buddies bowl once and a while. We all suck around 100-120 avg. so it's fun seeing who's the worse lol.

I used to bowl hardcore. I mean like, everyday. Bowled a leage once a week, bowled in state wide competitions on the weekends. Wasn't all that great, but I loved it. I was avaraging maybe 180-ish to 210 depending on the shot laid out and what not. And as for leagues, I'm sure whatever alley is nearest to you has leagues. Just ask. And yea, get your own ball. Trust me, you'll bowl better with a ball fit to your hand, even if it is just plastic. You can pick up a plastic ball for like $40-$50 I think. If even that. Its better for your hand to, because when you use a house ball (the ones they have there to use) its not fit for you, and can hurt your hand. I'd say get it drilled conventional for now (meaning, you have your middle finger and ring finger in the ball up to your 2nd knuckle). Once you get better, you can get a reactive ball and get it drilled fingertip (when your fingers only go in to the first knuckle, this allows you to put spin on the ball to hook it), but for now, learn the basics with conventional.

hahahahahahahahaha that made me laugh
on topic-- i bowled Saturday night at the ghetto LaMartinique, it was "galactic bowling" with the cheesy music and stupid black lights, but i was drunk so it was tolerable.

Ever since I got a Hammer Turbo Diesel my average is up around a 140 or so. The bad part is i'm really inconsistant cause my finger holes are kinda small, so when I start bowling I do alright, but once they get swelled up, I start suckin big time. I'm just too lazy to get them drilled out again. Also a spare ball would help too cause i'm at the mercy of the house balls to putz around with.
My high was an even 200 |

Um... backlite bowling is awesome. Girl you so crazy. & drunk bowling is the best bowling there is. Last weekend when I went, The DJ at Trindle Bowling alley was playing a bunch of games, where you had to go against other people. Pretty intense. hahaha. wait, the best part was the breakdancers. Bowling has gotten pretty crazy since a few years back.
