Welcome to TST. You don't see too many older 6 series.

very very nice... what are you working on at this point?

i like how it says 3.2/3.5 on the IM... was it used on two different motors?

Its really kinda confusing why it says 3.3/3.5 on the intake. Its a 3.2 liter, and i think in 1985, the motor used the same intake, and it was a 3.4 liter. After '87 it was actually a 3.5 liter. Right now im working on getting all the parts together to do a lot of work in the spring. I have started a thread in the general discussion about what ive done and plan to do.

Some photos can hide certain issues haha. The car is missing most of its clear coat on the hood roof and trunk, and there is some rust on the rear fender wells, but thanks for the comments. I took that picture to get a feature look of the lines of the car.

yeah he has the same clearcoat issue with his car as well. he got some great body pieces ( those black rubber/metal window moldings and other stuff) at that junkyard in morrisville, pa. his 325 is doing 187K and its reliable as hell. does your radio still work?

Well the PO upgraded to a kenwood cd player, but the radio reception is very poor. The rear speakers were upgraded though, although the front speakers are stock and are terrible, as are all old bmw sound systems. Mine has 133k on the clock, and even with vaccum leaks and some other annoying things that are easy to fix but hinder the running of the car, it has never not started for me. The M30 big six motors are pretty much bulletproof, as well as the M20 motor in ur dads car.

Thanks man. The wheels are actually from the E39 540i sport package. I think a 2000 model year or something. 17x8s, which are the biggest i think you should go on an E24.

I've ridden in a 6-series of that era (an M6) and it gave me a whole new appreciate for those cars. I love the look, and unless somebody knows their stuff they won't know what they're looking at. Welcome!!
