I'm off to court tomorrow at 1pm for an observer of street racing 6 point ticket. I know some of you have asked me to tell you how it turns out and ill let you know since some of you are in the same boat.
Watching ins't even worth it anymore guys, just my 2 cents. It's a big waste of about $800, so far. Just wanted to forwarn those that still watch.

I'm including lawyer fees $450, parking ticket $45 cause the cop was being a dick and the ticket itself was $316.50 It does exist and it's not worth it.

Exactly why I always have my hospital ID and Pager on me, Along with my Paramedic certs lol.

Wow. I didn't know that was illegal. Is that a common state law? I wonder if it applies to NJ or NY.

Why didn't you run as soon as you saw the cops like in Fast and the Furious?

hey good luck! My friend got a ticket for that in philly over the summer and lost his license for 6 months and he even took it to court. I think he had a few prior points, but still it was just him and another car sitting there on holstein. Two police cars boxed them in. They let the other guy go, but somebody in my friends car said something smart a** to the cop so he wrote up the spectating ticket.

The penalties for racing and watching is the same, usually 6 months loss of license and a fine. Its the same violation just have a different letter at the end, Sections 3367a and 3367b. I believe they have a court specifically designated for drag racing in Philadelphia.

Out in some parts of California, you can actually run the risk of getting you car seized and destroyed for watching street racing. Are all Philly cops vigilant when it comes to busting street racers and spectators? I've heard some instances where they come and tell people just to move along...

Good luck with that, a friend of mine got the same thing. 6 points and a fine with the court fees, sucks to watch now.
