I call bull on that. On my jeep I swapped the standard knob for a heavy aluminum T-handle. Other than having a nice handle to mash the gears home with it didn't change a damn thing.

I like my weighted knob. It may be in my head but it makes it feel much better.
The only thing I can say for sure about metal knobs is: when it is hot and it is sitting in the sun, you will burn your hand. when it is cold and it is sitting outside, you will freeze your hand. Why waste $115 on twm? Why not get a knob that matches your concepto knobs from r100s on nt.com. They are like $55-$65

When I went from a light Razo to a heavy Razo it felt better to me. It made putting it into gear easier.

I am actually trying to find a place that will cover the broken one I have in leather. But I haven't had much luck.

I think its just a matter of getting used to. I actually got a lighter knob in my Z (when I had it), and at first it was a pain, but once youre used to it, youre used to it.

Even if it doesn't improve much with the shifting, I think aftermarket shift knobs add style to your ride. I was considering one, but mine looks sexy and goes along with the interior set-up. Plus I havn't seen any 6-speed knobs from Greddy.

Do you really need to have that pattern? I mean thats all that denotes a 6 speed knob.

I like my APC knob. Heavyish, good feel, and it was like 15 dollars.

If your car has a realy light shift throw, (AKA a honda) a weighted knob makes a huge difference. I got a skunk2 knob in my car. It's much better than the stock knob.

Get a greddy counterwieght, only $40 bucks and it's heavy enough to throw threw someone's window that you dislike.
I personally love the stock sti knob, I tired a full weighted sti titanium knob and I hate it, so back to the stock knob I went.
