Hey everyone, my name is Glenn and while I'm not from the tristate area, I'm a huge fan of cars and racing. I prefer muscle and horsepower over nitrous and FWD's, but I respect anyone who likes fast cars regardless of where it was made or if it burns gasoline or rice.

I currently drive a 1972 Chevy Custom 10 (C-10) Pickup that runs high 14's and is mildly modded. I enjoy going to the dragstrip and feeling that rumble in your chest as funny cars and diggers fly by. I have a horrible medical condition that prevents me from stepping into a parts store and only buying exactly what I came to get. I get a hardon when I see a massive blower poking up through a hood....

You know, the typical gearhead conditions we all suffer from.

I'm here to help out with a few things and help this already great forum get even better. So I look forward to getting to know you all and working with Troll to make this the best car forum on the web. But I'm also here to enjoy discussing cars and the endless sweat and money we pour into them.

Thanks everyone! I really don't have any plans for it, I'd really like to keep it and just use it occasionally instead of a daily driver. But I can't decide what I want out of a daily driver. When gas was $3/gallon I was tempted to buy a VW New Beetle or something really efficient, but now it's back to $2.00 again and part of me still wants a 69' Camaro or Firebird.

By the way, if that Mach 1 is yours you have got one badass ride, very nice!

Just wondering do you need to put any weight over the rear wheels at the strip for added traction?

I've never tried adding weight for traction, I usually just get the tires pretty sticky and get decent launch. But then again they're just street 275/60's and it only runs high 14's so I've never really done anything too crazy with it to get good times. I more or less just enjoy facing off with other cars around my times and just getting that adrenaline flowing from a tight race.

Very Nice. We'll have to hook up if I ever get my 83 K-10 sent out. No major mods to it. Mostly Restoration. But you have a very clean C-10
