05 STI Gauge cluster into a 04 wrx

Whats up guys. I need any info you guys have on getting a 05 STI gauge cluster into a 04 WRX. The WRX harness fits into 2 of the 3 plugs of the cluster because its an 05 not a 04 cluster. I was told you can shave down the plug a little to make it fit but who will get like 3 or 4 warning lights plus a loud buzzing noise. Is it worth making it fit or should I just get me a 04 cluster and call it a day? I would like to make this 05 cluster work because I have been trying to get my hands on a 04 sti cluster for awhile now and i just cant seem to.

I had the same issue. i ended up selling the 05 cluster and just getting the 04. No headaches and clean install.
