Do they have a site for that...or is this just a forum-passing thing??

nice pics taken by Haknlash over on SRT forums. I don't think the car ran that day, but was just out to show off.... Either way it defeted the one thing the S2K had going for it which was it's handling. Aparently they took out the front cross member to get the 2JZ to fit in there... or so I've heard

great idea in theory, great execution, clean install...in the end (in my mind) a worse car.
yeah it might have Teins and stickier tires, but the weight distribution has been completely destroyed, and if it's true that they cut anything out of the frame of the car to fit that engine in there, then most of the S2000s purpose has been thrown in the trash. Don't get me wrong, it's a great idea and I'm sure that thing will be a beast at the strip, but it won't be quite as good at everything else as it could have been...something also tells me that this car will likely not see any autocrosses or track days. I dunno, we'll see. lmao, I love that last pic

^^ yeah, that's interesting...I don't think the one by the intake mani is a BOV, but I don't know what else it would be...it's not the TB cause that's right after it.
check this pic out *edit* it actually looks like it's physically the same piece as the TB...can anyone who knows Supra engines comment on this?

If you are referring to the piece next to the Master brake pump, that's a fuel regulator.
In my opinion, this is a great swap, for looks and straight performance that is. Other than that, no good. It CAN still perform well, but not as designed. I'm more of a road course type of guy, but the BIG THING now a days is drag racing, and this car will definitely perform well in that segment. |

still dont, the 2j is adding at least 200lbs up front. (very conservative since we are going from a na sleeved aluminum 4 banger to a heavy re-enforced IRON block turbo 6) even worse its moved that weight farther forward in the chassis. doesnt matter if they cut it or not, this car WILL understeer...badly
they would have done better to mount it into a fox mustang or even better a 3rd gen f-body. the chevy guys sure arent using them |
