Pricing for tranny rebuild.

ok soo im def. looking to get a 16 with the fuel upgrades soon and hopefully run like 300whp by spring but i know in order to do that i would need a good strong clutch...

i was thinking about just replacing it myself with a few people but why not just get the trans rebuilt since 4th gear pops out once in a while right after i shift.. whats a good price for a rebuild if i brought my own clutch to them would you say....

As far as I know, you can't use a 6 bolt tranny in a 2G. Three of the mounts are on the tranny in a 2G whereas there is only 1 mount on the tranny in a 1G. Maybe FWD is different, but I'm fairly sure it's not.

If you want a quality rebuild, go with TRE or Shep. If you want a good (not best, but good enough) rebuild, try www.doxboxracing.com . They're in NJ and have a pretty good turnaround time. They can install your clutch for you too.
