GPS devices. Navteq or Tele Atlas, which is better in this area

Out of all the portable gps navigation devices out there, they are probably running either Navteq or Tele Atlas mapping software. I think the same can be said for in-dash solutions as well (oem and aftermarket).

Now I don't have any recent experience with either, so I'm asking here. Anyone try both, which has better coverage in the tri-state area?
