Mitsubishi Vs. Subaru Showdown 2007 Scheduled!!!!

Thisis being put on by Buschur, if anyone didnt know. There trying to make this big like the dsm shootout thats they hold. Should be a good time if subarus show up.

3rd Annual Mitsubishi VS Subaru Showdown

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007.
-Open house and dyno competition at Buschur Racing, Inc., 24 West Main
Wakeman, Oh 44889
-This is just a big "car show" for everyone to hang out at. The highest
horsepower made on the dyno will receive a "King of the Dyno" award. One
plaque for Mitsubishi and one for Subaru.
-Festivities start at 9am and go until 5 pm.

Sunday, June 24th, 2007.
-Drag race at Norwalk Raceway Park, Norwalk, Ohio.
-Classes for Mitsubishi and Subaru individually along with against each other.
-Track opens at 8 am and will run until 5 pm.
-Time trails all day and will continue after the finals of the races are over.
-$15 spectators
-$35 car and driver
-Children 12 years old and under, free.

CLASSES and RULES:

EVO VS WRX

In the past we have had the WRX vs. EVO class and it has been a flop. The WRX's are apparently scared I'd really like to have this change for the upcoming race. Rather than me writing the rules for this event and nobody competing in the classes I build, I am looking for suggestions.

So, to any of you that know Subaru guys, ask them what is it going to take to get them to race against the Mitsubishi's? We appreciate the Subaru guys coming out to the race and hanging out but it would be much more fun with some good racing between us. Give me some suggestions and when I get some I can live with I will then write the rules for the class.

MITSUBISHI QUICK 8
-Heads up class. Pro Tree.
-Must qualify for this class. Qualifying times are 10 am 11 am and 12 noon.
-Quickest Mitsubishi powered cars at the track.
-Anything goes, must be Mitsubishi powered. NO tube chassis or back halved cars.
-ALL Mitsubishi Q8 cars will qualify, time trial and race from lane #3.
-On your windshield you will put in large print, MQ8 followed by the number from your tech card.
This is your class/car number for the day.

SUBARU QUICK 8
-Heads up class. Pro Tree.
-Must qualify for this class. Qualifying times are 10 am, 11 am and 12 noon.
-Quickest Subaru powered cars at the track.
-Anything goes, must be Subaru powered. NO tube chassis or back halved cars.
-ALL Subaru Q8 cars will qualify, time trial and race from lane #5.
-On your windshield you will put in large print, SQ8 followed by the number from your tech card.
This is your class/car number for the day.

BRACKET CLASS
-Handicapped start class. Full tree.
-Class open to any and all Mitsubishi and Subaru vehicles. Also open to any vehicle powered by Mitsubishi or Subaru engines.
-All competitors in this class will time trial and race from lane #7.
-On your windshield you will put in large print, B1 followed by the number from your tech card.
This is your class/car number for the day
