PA Chalfont needs techs all levels

Hey guys, I run a Tires Plus in Chalfont and i have openings for all positions from general service (change oil, tires, clean) to master techs, and everything in between. We are a nationwide company and are part of the bridgestone/firestone corp. We have very competitve wages and benefits, where top techs can comfortable make 75k plus no b.s. no flat rate.
please call or apply in person. you can also email me. my name is James.
store# 215-822-300
4309 countyline road
chalfont pa 18914
or email me @ MyFast@comcast.net
only downside is you'd be working for a vw owner

okkkkk lets let the original poster get back to his thread here... although the thought is nice lets let him tell those interested what the pay would be like, not guess based on others experiences.

like i said, no bull$hit. good money for good people. and some great training/certification incentives.

just wanted to also add my store is right on the bucks/montogomery border. but we have 29 stores in the area, if my store is too far contact me still and i can try to refer you to a closer store. we are always looking for talented people, or people with a passion for cars, both of which i think there is a good amount of on this site.
thanks

i can appreciate you looking out for other people. i know what you mean how alot of people want to tell you that the grass is greener on the other side when at the end of the day its still grass. thats not what im trying to say. im just simply saying there is oppurunity here, the same as exists i at many other companies. im saying we have a pay scale that is designed as such to pay people with talent a significant amount of money.
you can get a percentage of the work you do, parts and labor. so even on something as simple as an oil change you can get a peice of that. up to 12.9 %. the same applies for that $400 brake job or that $600 60k service.

i cant speak for other tires plus but i know my store and since i took over as store manager last year i have lost one general service employee.

what i cant tell you are facts. my store does on average about 125k in sales a month. With roughly 80-85K of that being service sales, which techs can get anywhere from 5 all the way up to 12.9 %. so yeah no bull$hit a guy who does brake jobs all day at a busy location like mine making $10 an hour and getting %10 can do alright for himself. and i have worked at several locations in my company where top techs on thier best years have made over 100,000. its up to them. i see 700 average a month. so theres no lack of customers we have alot of really good advertising that keeps new people coming in and good managment/tech that keeps people coming back.

plus im not hurting for techs that bad. I know that one of my master techs is moving on eventually due to the sucess of his own tuning business. im just being proactive so it doesnt hurt my business when he finally tells me hes leaving. and as far as the general service jobs goes, its not the highest paying job and retention is a problem for unmotivated people becasue they see the master techs having all sorts of money while they take home $300 a week.

like i said though i can only speak for MY store. other stores other managers cant tell you. that is the one thing i dislike though about being part of a chain. if someone in my warminester store screwed you and youre not going back there, there's a good change youre not going to any tires plus. when i would have had nothing to do with that. so that part sucks, but its one of the few downsides ive found. that and only being closed four days a year.

anyways my point is i dont want anyone leaving a job they are satisfied with becasue they think i can pay them millions. if your happy stay happy. but if you feel you are underpaid or cant stand your boss, or theres no room to advance, theres options and the should be explored.
Thanks.
James
