TST Help Me Plan Mods

Hello, I just boke in my new EVO SE and im planning on 350-370 AWHP. This is posted on EVOm also. Mods planned are

Wlabro 255
Buschur TBE, Intake
AEM Tru Boost, Wideband combo (Feedback or Opinions plase)
IC Pipe Kit
Cam(s) (Need advice here)
TT Dyno Tune (what do I need)
ACT HD (Sitting around until I punish the stocker)
* What else will I need! Thank you

my cousin (olsookie) only has a buschur racing TBE, Perrin FMIC w/ piping, hks intake, and i think he has 280 cams, and a reflash and he is at 350 whp...of course his stock clutch was horrible so he replaced that with a exedy stg II

Sounds like its going to be a beast Nick. Is this going to be on the stock 560's? I think they come stock with 560's. How much power can you get from the stock injectors. Will you have any over running of the stock FPR with the Walbro 255 like you see on some cars?

Are you gettin this all done at once?

Also...I would add some drivetrain and suspension parts.
All that power need to be balanced with out with some support.

Yes, Im starting as soon as I find the right set-up. Engine first, the rest will come with time.

Cams on a 9 are useless on a 9 because of the Mivec. Turbo Trix made a cam to work with it and there was a maybe 1 or 2 HP gain from them. Not worth it.

With just a flash you're looking at a little over 300whp with a 9. My friend dynoed 307 awhp completely stock with a custom flash from Vishnu.

I would recommend a TBE, FP, IC pipe, flash and see where you're at.

Adding onto this setup...

Might as well throw a good twin-plate clutch on that.
And get a set of decent gauges: Boost, EGT, A/F, and Temp


Also....don't get a new turbo manifold until you upgrade the actual turbo.

All you really need is a boost gauge, wideband and a coolant temp wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I am waiting, cams are out this week and I am waiting on numbers. I am working the guages now just starting with Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Boost, and wideband AF because thats all I have room for now. No 50 trim kit yet, I want to get the supporting mods finished first so their wont be much down time. I guess im looking into a flash, then get tuned in the spring with the 50 trim. Well thanks guys the only thing I dont have sorted out is the stock fuel system, Like Jerry said is the stock FPR good until I upgrade the turbo.

That doesn't mean that they were getting that much power from the cams. They were picking up that much power with the other mods.

And yes, your stock FPR is fine with what you plan on doing to the car.

We just put keith's evo 9 back on the dyno with a full 3" exhaust and our new 280 evo 9 cam set.. 374 hp and 363 torque on straight pump gas..

mods:

3" full exhaust
hallman mbc
k & n air filter
Turbotrix Custom Flash

thats all...


I plan to do the same, why would it not work when without they are seeing 330-340 AWHP & 23/24 PSI on Pump without cams, they turn around install their cams which only add what (1 or 2 HP) I think they stand out with what they accomplished!
