Insane RC helicopter, looks like a dragonfly.

Even if you don't watch the whole thing, watch from about 3:22 to 3:45. There is some serious control there. Guy has skills.

welcome to my world:

Before I decided to get into mobile electronics, I had the good fortune to work for several different hobby companies. I did it all, from cars, to trucks, to boats, to planes, to helicopters. Theese guys are awesome, the stuff they are doing is very difficult & takes years to master. I still have a few planes around, some are small enough that i could fly them in a parking lot during a meet

as for the cost of planes & helicopters:

lithium polymer battery technonogy has revolutionized the industry. you can walk into a hobby shop, spend ~$300, and walk out with an r/c helicopter, and everything you need to fly it. the new battery technology gives u 20+ min of flying time, as opposed to 7-10 with older technology batteries.

Keep in mind though, that for $300, it aint gonna be capable of doing crazy 3D maneuvers like the videos above, and also know that the R/C helicopter is the MOST difficult R/C vehicle to learn & master. I can fly one & do some pretty cool stuff, but im nowhere near theese guys.

R/C hobbies are just like sportscars. its all about driving (or flying), modding, & spending. it can get real expensive real quick. but it is ALOT of fun.

(i really have no idea why i just responded with such a big post, but enjoy the info nontheless)

Yeah R/C Helicoptors can get up there in price just like the cars. My unlce has 2-3 of there of them each are about $1500. He's been flying them for about 10 years and still can't do some of those stunts so I can only imagine how much experience they have.
