Montgomery Newspapers, we have 15 different papers through out Montgomery County. The company is also owned by Journal Register Company, a Fortune 500 company.

Thanks everyone, I'm pretty stoked. I've been here 6 months, other people in this department have been here for between 4-17 years

but if you knew them, you'd know why they didn't get a promotion.

The boss also offered me side work w/ his "after work company" but that is all weekend work, which I can't do. (gotta spend time w/ the g/f).

I got promoted after 4 months to an assistant manager, but that was burger king haha. i don't work there anymore, that was long ago.

My mom works in newspaper advertising. She's the director of advertising for Media General. I don't know what that means but i think it has something to do with newspaper advertising. She told me how easy it is to get promotions at jobs like that.

Easy, yeah, i'd say it was.

But that makes it all the sweeter when you've got people who have been there for 4-17 years that are still in the same position.
