If you bought a new car, what would you want for free

For my job we run programs for car manufacturers. I am looking into things to give away with the purchase of a new Mazda. Mazda is going after a younger market so I have to fit the gift into that.

So far I have
Xbox360, Sony PSP, Kenwood HD Radio Reciever, Fire and Ice Tailgate grill/Cooler.

Throw some ideas my way...what might get you into the dealership?

HA HA.... I wish i could do that.... manufacturers are super stingy right now. Its gonna be tough to even get an xbox through, I want to offer a 20" samsung LCD but that would be next to impossible to get through.

Dodge got me in with their "Win a Challenger" contest! I wasn't even interested in buying a car, but I went in and looked at what was new!

Since gas is a hot topic, perhaps a gas card of a certain denomination.
Gift cards to local malls, etc. That way you let the consumer make up their mind as to how to spend that money.

I like the idea of the gaming systems. You could pitch it to your higher ups that depending on the retail bracket the new vehicle falls in dictates what system you get.

For vehicles that are "tuner ready" offer free/discounted labor on one install or a percentage off from a factory part if you work for a company that has a race division like STi or Ford Racing. The place where I bought my motorcycle does this and it hooks a lot of people. I got my helmet and jacket through that same type of program. Edi: just saw you said it was for Mazda, so you could do the offer for Mazdaspeed parts.

We do that, but that has to be decided on the manufacturer end because it eats into individual dealer profits. If I get them to give away say an xbox, the customer will buy the car, get a validation number from the dealer and then go online and register with his vin and validation number then the xbox is sent out. This takes no money out of the dealers pockets.

I would say go with an iPod with an iTunes card for like 50 songs so they can use it in the new car. And it will cost the company less than a new X360, so they will love it.

I think the I-Pod or HD-Radio would be your best bet. Less expensive and they hook right into all the new Mazdas don't they??

I'd be happy with a gift card to a mall, best buy or a restaurant. A six pack or case of beer would make me happy. A few video games and a tshirt or two would do the trick...

You bought too soon!

It will most likely only go if you buy a CX7.
