man, I know what your talking about. Over in Al Dhafra we had killer rats in our tent that liked to watch us while we sleep. We were forced to throw together some make shift weapons out of masafi water bottles, straws, and various peices of clothing. Needless to say, after we had caught the said intruders we paraded around the tent waving the dead rats in the sky.

Total lost to rats:
3 packs of smokes
1 pack of sun flower seeds - bastard ate the seeds, left the shells
1 AAA battery
2 nights of sleep
and one hot dog soaked in anti-freeze

BTW folks the rat struck again tonight! this time he crawled onto one of our soldier's back while he was sitting down. he stood up and my partner saw it, pulled his knife and told him to turn around. Predator style! long story short the rat leapt for the floor and they spent another 15 minutes trying to whack it with a metal pole. as for our joe? we're calling him willard from now on ;)
