Ugh, rocks chips. I currently have two on my windshield as we speak. I will get it replaced after winter when it completely spiders out. That will be my second windshield in a year and a half.

yeah, someone ran over this thing on 95 and it flew up and hit my windshield in my accord. My insurance company didnt cover it, aparently in DE they dont, at least for liberty mutual. Its worth a shot to call and ask them. If not, youll have to pay your deductable if you have full coverage, or you can just go to a windshield replacement place and get it done for 200 bucks at the most. It was liek 190 for my 00 accord

Call them and ask.

In my case it was the cost of my collateral...so I said F-it and paid it myself.

My insurance company paid for my windsheild, but I had to cover the $50 deductable. Diamond Auto glass came right to my house to replace it, and it was finished in about 45 minutes.

If a truck infront of you did not have his load safely secured and it fell onto your car, take down his liscnence plate and make a report.

JESUS CHRIST...

I got mine done at a normal autoglass place.

But when my windshield cracked a bunch of people told me to just follow a dumptruck and once they stop tell them something flew off and hit me, and their insurance pays for it. But by that point i had already called my insurance and crap and told them what really happened so i didnt even bother with it.
EDIT: Just read the ^^^ post... whoops lolol

So what about your inspection stickers, are you allowed to get them replaced for free from where you had the inspection done?

They usually cut that piece of glass and tape the edges up and you keep it on your dash.

I had a few rock chips fixed last winter for free. I think they did 3 of them. That's what my insurance company would pay for, and they would rather pay for that, then pay to replace the windsheild. In the start of the spring when my car was nice and clean I noticed the jacka$$ spilled the solution on my hood. I went and paid him a visit and he cleaned it all off, and decided that in the sun he is able to see more chips and we should just replace the windsheild. My insurance company was covering it so I went along with it. Less then a month later I had a new chip in the glass, and then another chip the following month

Best bet would be to have the chips fixed ASAP. As soon as the temperature begins to drop, the chip will start to spider. The sooner you take care of it, the better off you'll be.
