Got my drivers licence today

Yes ladies and gentlemen, i have finally gotten my semi-offical driving licence. The road test was one of the most nerve-racking things ever. I almost failed the parallel parking, but tried again and aced it without too much trouble. Next month, 'round the 10th, i turn 18. YAY!

Congrats!

And, might I add, very nice choice of a future car!

It's one time and like a someodd day wait to try again. You get 3 or 4 tries, something like that.

yea, the guy was pretty cool and let me try again. It's all dependent on the examiner and their mood. Good mood = more leniency. Bad Mood or A-Hole examiner= less.

True that. My examiner just talked about fishing the entire time, and how he'd rather be fishing than at work. Made me feel extremely comfortable while driving, having him be laid back, seemingly relaxed, talking about something other than my test.

Parallel parking wasn't on my test when I got my license.

Old lady just said 'pull into a parking spot in front of the building, go get your license'

haha, love it

I took drivers ed when I was in high school, and my drivers ed teacher was liscnesed by the state to issue drivers liscenses. My test was so easy because I was comfortable with the instructor. And since he had driven with me multiple times before, he knew I could parallel park and all that stuff before the test even began. It was awesome.

Parallel parking was easy. The road test at Huntingdon Valley is a joke.

congrats man.

the age restriction in Jersey is a waste of time...it's bs that the insurance industry was able to lobby the state to raise it to 18 from 17 while other states have 15 year olds running around with a DL. there is no difference between a 17 year old and an 18 year old's mentality.

took my exam in Randolph, NJ and passed all the tests. My guy was cool, we were talking about old school muscle cars and about his mustang fastback.

the road test in NJ is a joke, they should take you into a real world situation rather then that bs parking lot with cones.

The test I took in Delanco(NJ) was an actual road test. Not very long, but you had to actually drive with other traffic. THe only part that was in the lot was the parallel parking, I am guessing for insurance reasons.
