webtrends and hitbox more specifically b/c they've been mentioned to me.

Has anyone worked on tracking software, reporting the findings, etc?

How easy/difficuly is it to set these things up and maintain them? What would be a fair weekly/biweekly/monthly charge for such services?

How about charges for initial setup?

Are you trying to start a web-tracking company or are you trying to find the best//cheapest one??

I have a company that wants to be able to track visitors and their location to plan for marketing, as well as...get their e-mail address, to e-mail updates to. Though, I'm going to try to convince them to just start a mailing list.

you should talk to criz on here... he works for a company that does marketing for websites and knows a buttload about that sort of thing.
