Okay i have no idea what this is to I'm going to do my best to explain it. I hear a very loud squeaking sounds like some metal is rotating around and scratching something. It's not the brakes cause it does it when im on the gas also. Most of the tiems it happens if im taking a turn fast or cutting the wheels hard when pulling out of coming in to a spot or garage. Happens at night a lot of the time. I no thats nott o descriptive, but anybody have any ideas. thanx.

i had the same problem, someone said it was the wheel bearings, but i dont know.

Could be that. Could also be you have a bent brake dust shroud and its grinding on something when you wheel lock, but you said you checked the brakes so I assume you checked for that as well already.

I have the same sound but mine does it when im going straight most of the time, its like a loud, high-pitched noise the guy at my work said it sounded like a wheel bearing so I bought one its going on tomorrow ill let u know if thats not it, So you dont waste money

you don't have to be breaking for it to be the breaks. Sounds to me like the rotors/calipers if its squeaking when you take a turn. Was the case on a couple cars for me.

koval, i kind of had the same thing and all it was, was a dry spot where the steering rack meets a bracket
