What would be different if the vehicle was on the track?
Our Mustang dyno runs quarter miles every day. Accurate within 2 tenths.
The Dyno Is designed for that operation. It has a staging tree in the software and everything

Crazy! I've never heard of that before. I can't imagine that doing that, especially with a 10 second car, wouldn't pose an unnecessary safety risk, and have the potential to cause wear, or even break a car.

The difference is that on the track, the car is not being held down by straps attached to the frame, or (ack!) suspension components. If a strap fails, or a tie-down point fails, the car shifts, and the traction afforded by the ground, instead of a roller, gives it the potential to break free completely. That's just my opinion. You are the dyno operator, so I'll take your word on it ;)

i never heard about doing drag runs on a dyno before. that is kind of weird that the garage door is closed and there is nothing attatched to the exhaust to vent out the fumes.

Man, im sure the dyno can handle it if you say so. But wow, to rely on straps like that is just crazy. I wouldnt dream of doing it if i owned a dyno. One bad strap and your resposible for 10's of 1000s of dollars.

I was going to say Precision can/will be able to do that, but they beat me to it. It is mentally difficult to launch your car when it it facing a solid wall.

I'd kill a whole orphanage to own an R33-GTR skyline...possibly even a convent.
