We had this thread on another forum i was on and it spawned some cool discussions...

i personally loved the 3-4 shift in my mx6... and i loved cruising in 5th on the highway...

in the STi, i still love the 3-4 shift... but id say either second gear or 6th are my favs... second because of the power... and 6th because... its 6th.

The 3-4 shift in any car will make you look like Walter Rohrl everytime.

The 1-2 shift is just a plain bitch when you are gunning it.

Well my wrx didn't like the 1-2 shift since it snapped 2nd gear in half lol. With the 6MT I love the 1-2 and 3-4 shift since you can rip them as hard as you want and know they won't break! Also with the stiffness from the kartboy bushings F & R, TIC shift linkage bushings, and the sti short shifter just makes shifting so precise.

3 to 2 for the win. my car has no power, but the most it can muster out is the 3-2 downshift....it will always send me sideways in the rain while turning

SRT - 4 to 3 downshift on the highway! Nothinglike dropping directly into the heart of the tq band at 60mph!

A perfect 3-2 downshift with some heel and toe action while entering a corner at full blast is beyond comparison.

1 to 2 with a powershifted 3 to 4 is always nice.

Guess thats why i just dropped my tranny today eh?

Wait till you get a rid this weekend. Fixed a really bad exhaust leak today. Pretty much no exhaust pressure in cylinder one.

2-3 is the best.

I like 1-2, and 3-2. 1-2 because when I'm really on it, even though my car has no power, it puts you in the seat a little bit, and chirps. 3-2 just because idk...its a nice downshift lol.

Any downshift in the Mini, 4-3 or 3-2, just before throwing the car into a turn getting a rear wheel up.
