I forgot more about detailing than this guy will ever know. He just gets paid more and has snazzier stuff to use. IMO, real detailing is about getting something to shine that you didn't think could shine, not making a brand new car look good. I'm not bitter, I just can't believe people willl pay that much for something like that. Boggles my mind.

One thing I thought was funny is that he was using Zymol or Zaino products... I can't remember which, I saw the video a long time ago. But, I know a detailer in the KOP area that charges $1,500 - $2,500 for a full detail using "special unobtainable waxes and polishes" which translates to "Zaino". Its really funny. Theres no reason someone with a random orbital buffer and some carnauba and a simple outline of what to do couldn't do that exact job - in fact, they'd do it better if it were their own car. The paint depth remover is a riot - you use one of those on cars with clearcoat when you're worried about polishing thru the clear - if an enzo or CGT has to "worry" about going through the top coat, I think it's safe to say either he is too abrasive or the cars are detailed WAY too often - especially for not being driven.

I bet if I get the 25 dollar + 5 dollar tip I pay my guy to do my car and he does another silver e46 M3 you wouldn't be able to tell the difference until the bill came.

Most I've ever paid was 150 bucks for a 3 step wax and polish and the guy spent like 6 hours on the damn thing.
