Soda before the work is done, and beer after the work is done, for those who are of legal age. We arent welding a diff. pin, but the neon automatic is 3-speed, and were swapping in the stick shift 5-speed

I know, used to own a 98 R/T coupe. The weak link in those trannies is the diff pin if abused. When it comes out of place (only press fit) it wreaks havoc and TSHTF. I would advise it.

Manuals, so the 5 speed.

The problem is if one wheel spins and the other doesn't (like a peg-leg burnout, inside wheelspin in corner, snow, etc). The tranny fluid gets heated by the spider gears enough to cause the pin to come loose, and gernades the tranny.

Of couse, a Quaiffe would solve all that too, and get both wheels workin' for ya

LSD is really expensive, so its no go for me. i guess il just drive carefully, but if i get wheelspin in the snow i guess il just release the gas and step on the clutch

Tranny is different, unless you are talking about swapping the whole powertrain. But, you could do a 2.4L cloud-car block with the 2.0L head and put down great power for cheaper
