Tell me about Mitsu Galant

my friend is thinking of getting one, and I have never looked into this car in terms of driveability and reliability
he's looking at ~MY00

how is it overall?

Late 90s and up Mitsu 4 door stylists really, really want to work for BMW.... but instead they just steal their design cues.

Galant Vr-4s are one of the most bad ass sleeper cars. They aint got **** for looks. Well, accually they are pretty dam ugly. But when your 500 dollar looking 4 door hunk of bad 90's styling puts 7 car lenths on a Corvette from a pull, it will make you think F***, I wonder what the Vette driver is thinking right now.

My second idea for a sleeper car is way better than a VR-4.

Take a mid to late 80's ugly ass fadded paintjob Honda Accord. Put a Giant Neon Green 3 foot wing on the back, Neons underneath, Wheels and bling bling rims that protrude about 1 foot outside of the wheel well. Stickers all over the car. Carbon Fiber Heaven, and basically anything else you can thing of that is rice. Then we put a fully worked 4G63 engine with a 50 trim and tune it for 20 PSI, convert it to AWD and run some 11's. I know its alot of work, but people have done similar things.

My friend had a 2000 Galant for over 2 years and never had any problems with it.
