electrical amp and speaker question
tomorrow we have to completely bypass the wire harness and run brand new wires from the speaker itself all the way to the amp now. but how is this possible that the speakers were working even though the harness was cut and going to the new amp? i have a new head unit, subs, sub amp, front and rear speakers all new. this was in a 1995 gsx. |

yea it did have a factory amp, theres where we spliced into. we found out today we had to cut all 8 wires in back of the head unit and cap them off.... amp works. next problem now, everything is hooked up but im getting amp noise or what its called. when i have the car running i get a super charger sound out of only the rear speakers. i switched the rca cables and its still the rear speakers. we even grounded the rca cables from the connections to metal. lessen it a bit but not 100%. the rca wire isnt running along with the power wire either. the ground is good. what the hell could be wrong now?
oh and now my subs seem alittle quiter now, but we didnt touch a single thing to do with that amp or the subs. |
