Tst/xotic/carol For Heart Dyno Day Thanks!

I would like to extend my personal thanks for this event being such a great success, given the weather and last minute dropouts! I recieved an email today from Cindy at Carol For Heart expressing great gratitude for everything that TristateTuners and Xotic Motorsports put into this event! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT ATTENDED AND HELPED OUT DURING THIS EVENT!!!!!!

Lets talk about the fine folks at Xotic Motorsports:

I CANNOT even put into words the generosity that this company possesses! Andy went WAY above and beyond our deepest expectations! Great thanks goes out to James from Xotic/J-tuned as well. These two guys worked ALL day long strapping and dynoing cars. I didnt even see them get a chance to grab a bite to eat!!!!!!! Thanks a ton to Jim Lewis as well, he kept us well fed all day long and shocked us with the awesome power of the saabaru!!!! In my eyes, Xotic Motorsports were the true heroes of the day!!!!!

Thank you for everyone else that came to the event. Thank you to all the people that donated money and brought supplies! Thank you to those whom documented the event via photos and video!

So how did we do................

When I got home last night and did a final tally of how much we made on the day I was extremely impressed! We eclipsed the $1k mark, and there is still a pretty good group of people that we havent even collected from yet!!!!!!!!!!

So great job everybody, and look to see TristateTuners and Xotic Motorsports teaming up in the future!!!!!!! THANK YOU, Jon

p.s. Use this tread to extend thanks or to talk about the event......PLEASE DONT CLUTTER! Any questions...hit me up!

Id like to thank EVERYONE who came out on sunday. I had a great time. A special thanks goes out to andy. Offering dyno services at that price eliminated any profit, yet he still did it willingly. I would suggest that everyone who needs dyno or tuning time to take the time and go to andy. He makes huge power on conservative tunes and really knows his stuff. I know ill be going there once my setup is on.

No problem!

I really enjoyed hanging out with everyone, talking cars and helping a good cause. It was really nice not to have any ricer burnouts or 120 mph flybys...

I'll bring my smaller grill next time, so we don't need a forklift to unload it...

Thanks for the thanks guys, Troll also played a huge role in this deal as well, couldnt have done it without him. TristateTuners as a whole teamed up with Xotic Motorsports.......doesnt get any better than that!

I would also like to add that Jim Lewis cheated! Thats right! Its not fair asking Andy for his top-secret ultra-aggressive tune! hahahahahahahahaha, that saab is still blowing my mind! Sweet car!

A cheat is a win! And it's looks like, ummm, let's see.....6 hp and 3 ft lbs of tq...YEAH!

Actually, when he tuned it after my turbo/header/injector/clutch install, I asked Andy for 2-3 more lbs of boost and he gave me a technical answer that I didn't understand but sounded really cool. The boost level stayed the same.

I even asked again last week, same cool answer. Can't repeat it to save my life, but it sounded cool and was over my head.

I had a blast, nice to meet those who I didn't know before. I am at xotic every other week and Andy, Ron, and Jimbo are always fun to deal with. Definately a reputible shop and they along with tristatetuners really went over the top for this event. If anyone needs to be thanked it's you Jon. You set this whole thing up at your own will and it turned out amazing! I hope to see something like this again in the near future, I am sure we will be pleased again....

Yes,, well its a RB20DET from a R32....Basically the same motor as the RB25det but a weaker tranny, 2.0 instead of 2.5. top feed injectors and a non ball bearing turbo. but it should make 230whp something untuned.., then its big turbo time. You need to swap a RB in your son's Ride.

James

+1 for everything!
Thanks to Jon for busting his ass to organize this, as well as Troll, thanks to Jim for cooking his butt off, and thanks to Andy and helper (?) for working hard for little/no profit for an awesome cause! I also thought it was great that the folks from Carol for Heart gave a talk and brought it home, what it was all for - good stuff. Felt awesome to be a part of it

MY ride comes first, we dumped a lot of money into his built dual cam swap, clutch, trans, rear diff, etc. Besides, he's in tech school, works part-time, and has a 6 week old son...priorities....

I would also like to extend a thank you to everyone involved. Making something like this logistically feasible is no mean feat. Jon put in a lot of prep time.
Thanks to Andy and Jim at Xotic, none of this would have been possible without an event to have, and you guys stepped up. Like Jon said, you put the shop on the back burner for a day to help out both Carol for Heart and TST. Major kudos to you guys. Plus AWD burnouts FTW!!
Jim, you had the unenviable job of feeding the masses(and getting that monstrosity lugged out to the shop!). I know my stomach thanks you.
To everyone who showed up and donated/dynoed/raffled/and just supported. Thank you. Without supporters no event is going to be a succcess. It's good to see that TST'ers care, and I know that it makes me proud that we are willing, and able, to help.

Big thanks to everyone!!

You can add that to your facts thread - Jim Lewis runs the meanest grill...Period.

It was great, nice to see another swapped RS as you don't see em very often. Hopefully I can get my EJ20G swap done sometime and run the dyno with you guys if this charity event continues next year.

i've been running around like crazy with the start of this week, so i'm just reading this now... i think the day went extremely well and want to say thanks to all those who came out despite the gloomy weather. it actually got really nice out mid afternoon finally!
jon busted his ass to get this together so thanks a million for that, i put a lot of responsibility on his shoulders and he really shined.
and xotic tuning is great, but i think everyone knows that. anyone there watching knows that they were working as fast and as hard as they possibly could all day long, i dont think they stopped to eat or anything, and they practically donated the shop and their time for the whole day.
there were some unexpected big donators as well, not sure if they want to remain somewhat anonymous or not so i'll leave them that way for now but thanks a ton for realizing there is more to life than how much money you can put into your own car and not spare $10 or $20 (or a lot more) for a good cause. it all adds up and i think we showed that from this event.
i've talked to a few people about the event since it ended and everyone agrees.... this just felt good. lets throw all the internet bickering and drama out the door for a day and focus our attention instead on something genuinely important, and purely positive. we have the ability to get together and do something good-hearted and i hope that we'll have another charity event before the winter which which will be even bigger and better.
oh, and thanks to all the participants who came out, and especially to those who busted or are busting their asses to get donations... every little bit counts and when we all come together things really start to add up.
bryan
