Get paid helping me!
Real problem that i need help with is the car is taking 4 or more times to start up and every few times i get code P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit) but what i have been reading is that if this thing goes bad it wont start up at all so im thinkin the problem could be a little deeper. Im not sure how to get to the sensor to check it out or how to check which plug it is on the ecu eather to run a simple voltage test. When i try and start the car it sounds like when you accidently try and start a car and its already on and all you can hear is that horrible noise from the starter. if someone could help me in the next day or so that would be awsome and yes you would get some money out of it, gas money and maybe like 100 bucks or something we could figure that out later. you can call me at 206-920-3594 or 724-238-9517 and ask for Ryan. since i can't post the actual web address i'll do it like this
www. f u c k vishnu.com on that note, maybe try re-setting the ecu. the crankshaft sensor may not be bad, but could be messing up in some way. another thing to check is that if the starter is making that bad noise then maybe THAT is bad, and the bendix (i believe it is called) isn't coming out enough to catch the teeth on the flywheel. go buy a starter and put it in, if it still does it pull that starter out and return it and get your $ back (no $ lost on trying that out). don't know where to get a starter either, might have to go to satan (dealership) but you might get lucky with pep-boys or autozone. check the stupid stuff too like the battery voltage under load (when trying to start the car), grounds, anything else you don't think would affect the car starting. you never know... good luck

thanks man ya i already tested the voltage of everything seems ok. yes its the bendix and im going to go take it out in a little while and check it out. also my fuel pump is making no noise when the car is in the on position, its a walbro 255 i unplugged it and touch the ground of the voltage meter to a bolt in the car and had it set on dc 50 got nothing when i touched it to all the connections then turned it on ohems and was getting some feed back so i dunno maybe a bad fuel pump too which sucks cause it was put in like 3k ago.

with so many symptoms at once i wouldn't rule out a bad ecu. bad fuel pump + crankshaft sensor codes+ starter issues isn't very likely to all happen at the same time on ANY car. if you have a friend with an evo maybe try his ecu to see if it solves it- again, will cost you no $ (unless you fry his ecu but also unlikely).
who put in the fuel pump and were any wires spliced or was it a plug in unit?
