Decent bars in Bucks/Phila/Northern NJ area
Preferably in Bucks/Montgomery/Phila area. I've heard a few good things about Black Bull in Holland. A little on the pricey side, but it doesn't really matter to ensure a fairly decent night. Thanks for the input.

The black bull's food sucks except the caesar salads, hands down the best I've ever had. if you go there on a weekday night with a couple people, you will rule the joint, if that's what your looking for.
If you want to eat + drink, my suggestion is Bonefish Grill in Willow Grove. same type of atmosphere BUT awesome food. alittle upscale but not high end, sometimes on the crowded side but a weekday shouldn't be that bad, very mixed crowd. not sure when it closes if your looking for a place to hang at all night though.

Doylestown: Knight House on State Street, great outside bar, outside heat lamps, good higher end bar food, the "it" place in D-town right now.
Within walking distance of there: Mosquito Grill, on the corner, can't miss it. "The Other Side", on Main street, near the corner of state and main. More of our age there. another restaurant/bar on Main street, further down by the Gap, forget the name and I've never been there. The FreightHouse, at the Doylestown Train Station. Cool place, popular with the wannabe-young-agains, but still a cool joint. There are two bars on main street. One by the volvo dealership and the other by the restaurant whose name I forgot, it used to be Kelly's. Doylestown is a great place to bar hop, if you have a place to stay nearby, or a taxi. |

I've never been to the Bonefish Grill, should check that out. Keswick Tavern, a sports(ish) bar/tavern at the corner of Keswick and Easton roads. Decent enough place, prices ok, food ok. You get some people from Arcadia going, so maybe some hot chicks. Blue Comet bar and grille, I LOVE this place but I haven't been there in awhile. It is a very 50's rock-a-billy joint with live music on Sundays, in Cheltenham on Easton Road. Brian Setzer has been seen there in a blue moon. Plush, on Keswick in the small shopping center. It sucks more than blue balls, I don't recommend it at all. Union Jacks on Limekiln, by my house actually. Not a bad little dive, good for a beer with some friends. I hear there food is pretty good, but I've never gone there hungry enough to eat. Whiskey Tango is close enough i suppose, about 20-30 minutes from Keswick. Its definatly a good place to go for your b-day. There is a dance floor upstairs, two-three bars downstairs, sometimes live music. Do a google for that as I'm not sure of the streets it is on..I think Philmont is one of them... I really don't go out much...honest |

I know where most of the places are. Whiskey Tango is only about 10 minutes from my house, and I've eaten at the Keswick Diner which is right across the street from the Keswick Tavern more times than I care to count. One guy I used to work was actually a bouncer there, may still be. I may end up aiming for something more towards the city simply because part deux of the night will be at Daydreams down on Unruh Ave., haha.

When it comes to Doylestown bars:
Stephanie's (which used to be Kellys) is a pretty upscale place which has more of a older person yuppieish crowd. Not my kinda place. Finney's (right next to the gap) is a decent bar with a good atmosphere with a solid pool table and a good bar. It is usually dead earlier in the night but picks up when it gets later. The Other Side defenitely wins the crown for having the most people our age. I was in there a couple weeks ago and it was alright, just too many people in there for my liking. Muggs on Main Street (down by the Volvo dealer) is the place you are thinking about. It is alright inside, nothing to write home about. The place in Doylestown I always goto is the Amber Inn. Decent beer prices plus free pool on the weekends which you can't beat. The Pinevill Tavern in Pineville has a good atmosphere, a pretty extensive beer selection and good prices on beer. |

The Black Bull is def. your best bet, but then again I am kind of moddest.
Honestly though, we have one of the best friday night parties in Bucks. Sure you can go to Issac Newtons or Big Heads, but the atmosphere and females cant even be in the same sentance as Black Bull. If you like classy bars, then go to Black Bull. 04PAcruz'n: Sorry you didnt like the food. We were actually top 5 in Bucks last year for the restaurant, but hey, cant please everyone.

You should check out New Hope. There are tons of places up there and everything is soo close.
There is Kenny's up in the NE....it is pretty fun. Other than that, I just know Philly bars. Mad4Mex is fun down in University City....but you pay for for **** down in philly.
