I got my letter in the mall yesterday stating that my wife's Aly may have a faulty engine which could cause high oil consumpsion. It affects pretty much all the QR25DE's made form Jan 06 to May 06. Nissan reported that there has been 214 engine fires as a result of the engines being staved of oil and I should ck the oil every 700 miles. The good thing is that they are giving every one affected a 84 month 100,000 mie powertrain warranty. I'll scan the letter if anyone wants to see it just let me know. BTW I finally broke down change the oil in the Alty @ 4000 miles with only being 0.5 quarts low. Nissan had this problem before in 02 and early 03 they changed to softer pistion rings and it fixed the problem. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say they're haveing the same problems again.

So, where is the problem for the SE-R??

The Sentra SE-R you know the one with the QR25DE.
