anyone know toyota engines well?

does anyone know if a timing belt breaks on a 1989 toyota supra does it hit the vavles or the heads?

A belt failure on an interference engine almost always results in one or more bent valves. Although your supra is a non-interference(pretty sure) so you should be fine. I would still take the head off and makes sure. Dont the valve seals always go bad in those motors too?

The only way to smack pistons and valves in a 7m is to snap a rod, ask me how I know. I have a pretty nasty 87 supra that very well might be at the exotic dyno day in 2 weeks.

Suspension
section/silkroad coilovers w/ 18k 12k spring rates, 4 pt roll cage, sus tech sway bars, custom sway bar links, jic front upper a arms, cusco strut bars, custom rear camber arms, custom rear toe arms, custom traction bars rear, gutted from front seats back down to bare paint, gutted front seats forward of tar and sound insulation as far as firewall, 18x9.5 rear wheels with 275 35 18, 18x8.5 front wheels with 245 40 18 tires

Momo detachable wheel, corbeau bucket seats, autometer boost, oil press, pryometer, and water temp

Misc relocated battery to back seat
