if certian ports aren't blocked, you can remote desktop into your computer at home and do it that way... i did that from lockheed until they caught on.

I tried over 300 proxies at work and they all didn't work, i was furious.

jess try logmein.com you have to register and confirm through your main e mail but once its installed you can just go on to the site and access everything through your home computer. hope this helps its how i get around it at my job

Unfortunately, they're wise to that where I work too. They won't even allow secure shell outbound unless we submit firewall requests for the source/destination and business reason for the connection.

Where I work, there is no IT guy. There are litterally hundreds of us. So we're split into small focused groups.

I do UNIX/Linux support. That is all. No working with Windows, and no touching network gear. The other groups are much the same. Everyone does their little piece of the pie, and that's all. So at our place, it's only good if you're the "firewall guy".
