It's pretty messed up - she shouldn't be held responsible as his gf, but if she was the bartender she should be held responsible as a bardtender. And if that fails, she should be held responsible as a human. Yeah, he is the one who drove... but if I knew someone about to do that **** I'd put an end to it circa yesterday.

Incorrect, I am a firm believer in you are responsible for your own actions. I have been completely obliverated and still always know not to touch my vehicle. Not because I don't think I can't drive drunk, I choose not to, I would never endanger anyone elses life or mine like that.

Ya know I have a friend that got into a fight with his girl and smashed his car on purpose just for her attention. I think this guy wanted to hurt himself just for his girls attention. Maybe he thought it would make her feel like ****. I dont think he meant to kill himself though.
