got all the hoses, sensors, manifold, throttle body, pass motor mount, etc off today. tomorow i will take the timing chain cover/timing chain, cams/rocker assembly, and head off. wont get the ARP head bolts till weds, then will put it all back together if the only thing thats bad was the head gasket. hopefully i remember how it goes back together, lol

Built k24 w/k20 head, full race kit, hondata, then....

got everything out today.....head looks ok, block looks good. head gasket doesnt have any real noticeable cracks in it, but you cant always see the problem. gonna check the head for warpage then when the new head bolts come, it will go back together. hoping to have it done by friday for the track

on a side note every bench in my garage is filled with parts

i laid everything out with the bolts where they go as i took it apart. i also marked the timing chain with white paint so its easier to get it lined back up

nothing visially stood out. guessing head gaset has a very slight break somewhere i cant see, or the head lifted a little due to not proper torqued head bolts from the factory...gonna put it back together with the new head gasket and see if that fixes it

not really....most of the work i have done has been on SOHC d-series motors. and 98% of them have been out of the car when i did it. this is a whole new animal, and its fun as hell. if it doesnt go back together right i will just light it on fire, bwahahahaha
