all of your major insurance companies are pretty good. i deal with insurance companies EVERYDAY. the sucky ones are like SafeAuto and weird ones like that. best bet would be to stick with ones like AllState, StateFarm, Geico...
although, right now i'm not hearing too great of things out of Progressive.

Anything but Geico. Their rates are so cheap because when you get into an accident they make the body shop put junkyard parts on your car.

The insurance company can not tell the body shop how to fix your car. THe body shop is going to make the repair as expensive as possible for your insurance company because the more money they make the better it is for them.

I have geico insurance. I had a claim about 4 months ago. EVERY SINGLE part replaced on my car was OEM Mazda. And I'm talking about a claim that was mostly drivetrain repairs. It was over 7,000$ just in parts for a rear end for my car.

Go with geico. THey are extreamly cheap and they have excelent customer service.

OK, here's my opinion.

Shop around. Every person's situation is different, and not every insurance company is the same for everyone. There are so many variables that go into your policy's premium that you can't guesstimate what it will cost you.

Call Allstate, Statefarm, Geiko, Progressive, whoever. Call them all. Talk to their agent about coverage, deductables, premiums, etc, and gather as much information as you can before making a decision.
