2.) remove subframe and send it out for modification
3.) reinstall modified subframe and send it out for body/paint
4.) instal widebody kit and paint
5.) drop engine and connect

I'll concede that swapping the LS1 into an FD does make for a nifty car that makes torque out the ass and still handles like an champ. And that it only adds about 60 extra pounds of iron under the hood.

But there is something about twin turbo'd rotaries that are just more appealing to me.

Twin turboed rotories I hate...Too much work to keep them running right

single turbo rotories

I like the idea of a ls1 swap...very little maint. compared to a rotor. But from what I'v heard it's a handfull to drive because of all the low-end torque. But it would make a great drift car

Im not divulging the powerplant thats going into it... but I will say its not a 2JZ.. the fitment on that motor isnt good and the price people want for the kits are rediculous... one shop acutally thinks they can chage 70k for a swap.

The goal for this project is to turn it into my own personal supercar...
1.) It will be luxurious enough that you can take it anywhere and not feel out of place
2.) It will have the performance to take it to a road course and be very competitive against almost any other street driven car.
3.) The car will look like it can be purchased like it is at any high end showroom. Everything will flow well together and match inside and out. I want to raise the question as to whether it is a modified car or I just bought it...

There isnt going to be any wild lines to this car and everything will seem to be functional. I will continue to update this thread through the entire build process

This year: powerplant and exterior
End of year/Early next year: interior...

stay tuned!
