It's BACK!!! New CHRA!!

Its back, Im in no rush to install it though. Im trying to get some decent number on my setup that I have now. Ill probably throw her on mid-summer. Second pic is the Holset next to a 18G.

.... ive been in this car with a 50% blown holset.... thing is SICK when boost kicks in, absolutely amazing setup matt has, and this turbo with a tune will be extremely sick.

holy crap man... the picture of it next to the 18G really puts it into perspective. i dont even know what to think of that, i cant fathom how it would go onto anything but a 7 liter diesel.
question: real big turbos always have that double ring on the inlet... can you explain that? does the air pass through from the outer ring or does it have to turn around and go inside the inner ring? never seen one in person so i cant picture it...

NA i doubt that since he already had the turbo on the car, he should see what he can get outta the setup he has now, hes been running it for a good amount of time and should just see what it can do. No rush

Can your motor handle that. stock bottom ends 450whp max?

I/ve seen them on 4g63's, and the numbers blew my mind, especially torque. Good Luck!

The extra ring is call Map Enhancement. Its suppose to guard it from surging. Its does lead into the housing and pass air thru. Im not in anyway rushing throwing the turbo back on. Im actually happy with what I have right now and am no where near touching teh potential of my setup. The 20G's efficientcy rage starts at 22-23 PSI and goes to about 30 PSI. Im only running 16 PSI. I just dont seem to have much time lately to tune.

So what's the spool gonna be like??? I don't have much experience with big turbo's on piston engines. But I did have a 57t t3/t04e on my civic and it was like a on/off switch. It felt like driving a 2 cycle dirtbike. It was fun but most of the power wasn't usable.

I know you have 4wd so maybe that makes up for it??

I have a mitsu bolt on exhaust housing which I ran intially, full boost came on at 3800-3900 rpms. The mitsu housing is definately alot smaller then the T4 which it came standard with. This time around I might just run it as a straight T4 and see what happens.

Theres a guy I know with a GVR4 with an HX-40, and the thing is FREAKING INSANE! those turbos are amaxing in boost.
