Xbox wont recognize flash drive

I want to download the last two DLC for black ops 2. I have tried two flashdrives. My xbox dosent recognize any of them. I do have a 360 flashdrive from sandisk that it does recognize, but I guess that that one is already formatted to the Xbox. I have read that a new update came out (not sure how long ago) that you can use any type of flashdrive. It just has to be 1gb to 16gb. Anybody have any ideas what I can do?

Thanks

Brad

Ran out of room on the console itself.
