Philly Thieves Drive Off In Bentley & Lamborghini

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say thieves broke into a Philadelphia apartment and stole the keys to a Bentley and a yellow Lamborghini with a Batman sticker before speeding off in the luxury cars.

Authorities say the thieves broke in through a second-floor window in the city's East Falls neighborhood late Monday or early Tuesday. They took the keys to the two cars, along with about $2,500 and two flat-screen televisions.

Police say one of the stolen vehicles, a 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo with a Batman sticker on the back window, has been recovered. The other, a 2006 black Continental Flying Sport Bentley, remains missing.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says it appears the owner had been targeted.

Police have recovered both luxury vehicles reported stolen overnight from an East Falls apartment complex. Philadelphia police said a 24-year-old man reported that someone broke into his apartment on the 5400 block of Wissahickon Avenue around 11:45 p.m. and stole the keys to two high-end vehicles. The thieves then drove off with the 2006 yellow Lamborghini and 2006 black Bentley. The Lamborghini was recovered at about 7 a.m. on the 400 block of West Upsal Street in West Mount Airy, just less than two miles from the burglary site. The Bentley was recovered later in the morning on the 500 block of West Abbottsford Avenue, a little more than a half mile from the apartment. Both vehicles were unoccupied when they were found. Authorities said the man also told officers that large-screen televisions were taken from his apartment. Investigators believe the suspects entered the apartment through a window. No description of the thieves was available and no arrests have been made. Preliminary investigation indicated that the victim may have been targeted. "It appears that this particular owner has been targeted or somebody has been keeping an eye on him, due to the fact that these cars are so unique, easily identifiable and so high-end," Chief Inspector Scott Small told 6ABC. Northwest Detectives said later this morning that investigators were still trying to determine whether that was the case.

Bentley Continental Flying Sport must be rare as hell, I've never even heard of it! Not easy to own $300,000 in cars at 24 but certainly not impossible.

If I lived at home and was 24 I would of paid cash for them.
