Evo X Almost Done... E85 tune coming next...

The car has come a long way and seen many changes. Right now just enjoying the 93 pump tune until we up the boost and run the E85. Car spools amazingly fast. It has more tq down low than a FP red on a 2.0L the spool is eerily similar to the stock turbo and the tq punch is everywhere. Its the perfect street car.

Wow, 28 psi and awesome power for 93 octane, how much more boost and power will this thing be at on E85?

Glad to see you're running Fuel Injector Clinic 2150s, I work there actually . Post a photo of the car and a dyno run on our FB page!

I plan on running only 32psi as I have the stock 3 Bar MAP sensor. The car will have dual maps one for 93 and E85. I just want to crack over 700whp and around 550tq call it a day. If I am unhappy with the 32psi I have a 4 BAR sensor ready for higher boost.

The injectors are amazing. I am amazed the car runs this well on 2150cc on pump gas.

The car was road tuned, but I have a Go Pro 3 coming in about 2 weeks so I'll try to make some vids.

Is there a reason why you chose 3rd gear to dyno? I always thought you wanted the gear closest to 1.0 as possible, which would normally be 4th gear. Car looks great though and I bet it pulls hard as hell.

Yes on a stationary dyno it would be 4th, but this was street tuned so we would be going way too fast for 4th gear pulls that's why we did 3rd.

Cars look great and numbers seem good. Like Talon said, I would love to see this on a dyno.

Long time no see. I remember when you had just brought this thing to the garage meet not soon after we started it and it was almost stock. Come a long way and the numbers are way impressive.

Looks good man. I saw it at SpeedCircuit a few times when I was there last year.

I'm glad Dino was able to make it proper. All the Evo X's in the Tristate area are going there now since the other tuners/shops in NJ, PA, and NY for our cars are mehhhhh if not horrible.

Agreed. Not too many people want to take the time and attention on this platform. The tune on this car is probably the best ever. I think its because road tuning has all the elememts you attempt to simulate on stationary dynos. He also took about 2-3 weeks tuning until it was perfect. I am not convinced a car can be properly tuned in a couple hours. The difference is clear from past tunes. I am working on scheduling the E85 tune now so the car can be at its full potential. I was so amazed that this setup had a better powerband than a FP Red on a 2.0 that he tuned.

Yup. Road tunes address all the issues dyno tunes generally leave out. I've had tunes from Ivey and Akuma, and they were not good. Ivey's tune always caused overboosting, even after I brought it to him to fix. Akuma... well, my car was on the verge of blowing up, although I don't know if that could happen considering my car could never go into WOT since it hit a fuel cut because it was running so damn rich (10 afr's and lower at WOT). My Akuma tune also gave me a whopping 350 whp on a FP Black turbo. That's how much I made on the stock turbo. Driving around it felt rough as hell and bucked all over the place at lower RPM's.

Just because a shop has a dyno doesn't mean anything if they give you a 30 minute tune. That's why all the Evo X owners are going to SpeedCircuit now. Amazing tunes and quality service. Yes, the tunes cost significantly more than the basic $350 or so you pay at the other shops, but the results are great.

I also had overboost issues with Ivey and Akuma for me was also a disaster. The car runs so smooth now even with these huge injectors using pump gas.

Are you planning to switch back and forth between E85 and 93? Or use the corn exclusively?

Always had great luck with my Evo and Sti getting tuned by j-k-tuning, he always dyno tuned it then we would drive around while he fine tuned for the street, and always done in under 3 hours with the majority of that waiting for the car to cool down
