my latest shop build - 997tt big power - lots of pics

a good friend of mine in TX called me a few weeks ago to let me know he traded in his 997 Carrera that I had done, the car had a VF supercharger, a host of Fabspeed parts, coilovers etc. he wanted to go a similar route with this one as far as bolt on parts, but he wanted more power!

first step was wheels, we did a one off set of ADV5.0SL wheels in a brown/bronze color that fit the car PERFECTLY! I just sent him the full exhaust (70mm x-pipe with black quad tips and HJS 200cel cats), GT2rs intercoolers, GT2rs spoiler, EVOMSit ECU tune, EVOMS BRVs, plugs, IPD plenum and y-pipe, GT3 throttle body, and custom powdercoating & airbrushing work by martin @ Liquid powder coating (www.liquidpowdercoats.com/) - he did the y-pipe for me in a bronze/copper color with my buddes kids names airbrushed on in a gunmetal color... i have been dealing with Martin since LPC was LPC and as always the work is top notch!

these pictures were taken at EVS in TX, they installed the wheels and spacers for us. these pics are pre spacers..

showing his Fabspeed love

the plenum and y-pipe, as well as the BRV's, spark plugs plugs, GT3 throttle body. the y-pipe before powdercoating and the plenumbefore i took it to the polishing wheel .

some detailed pics of the exhaust/cats/tips

and the GT2 wing fitted and ready for paint (also notice the spacers are installed now and the fitment is nearly perfect [still waiting on coilovers])

everything laid out:

BMC filter (dont mind my ugly toes ):

powdercoated tips:

powdercoated y-pipe:

ECU out for tuning:

a few more pics

GT2rs intercoolers vs stockers

x pipe and HJS Cats

BRV's

the spoiler and new emblem

on order are KW V3 coilovers, VTG turbo's, and headers... with those upgrades we should be at 750hp which was the goal from the beginning. I will update with pictures when more parts are added. we are also planning a 997.2 rear end conversion (LED taillights and bumper), carbon side skirts/lip and diffuser... inside we're going to do GT3 bucket seats, roll bar, and a few alcantara bits..

enjoy!

Little update... We're flirting with 800hp... On the stock clutch!

some major updates in the past month...

customer got bored with the basic bolt on's pretty quickly...

out comes the old:

enter 65mm VTG's:

old headers:

fabspeed headers:

and the carbon airbox:

we had evo send some of their inlets to help the new turbos breathe better:

todd also re-worked his magic on the ECU for us with the upgrades

we also added a few interior tweaks:

rennline pedals:

K40 caliber:

GT2rs knob and boot:

full suede MAcarbon wheel with carbon ring (the wheel is 4mm thicker too)

and we had the hub wrapped & stitched

we also decided that with the new matte front lip the back was a little too plain, Werks1 put together one of their diffusers and finished it in "dry" look

and the front lip

i will post actual pics of the diffuser when champions done with it, but the car is SCARY fast.

I would love to do that suede wrap on the steering wheel in my Z. It would match with the alcantara bottom half of the interior and be so much better grip-wise.

lets talk then. i can do it for cash... which i can then turn around and hand back to you for parts. lets just figure out how we can put together a 100k website.

I'm starting a short term contract right in ft. washington, so i could easily swing by after work or during a lunch hour or something. i'd love to work with you guys, your work is top notch and awesome.

now i just need to nail down oakes for some one on one to make sure the direction i'm going with his redesign is alright.

this may be a little bigger of a job then side work, we need to be able to do updates during the day, etc. Nicks page is nice and clean but we have tons of pics, videos, etc. we would need with new pictures and dyno charts updated constantly.

hire me full time and lets get this rolling.

pm your email and i'll shoot off my resume, examples sheet, and references.

i can do everything from site maintenance to researching and planning out a new website. I know of a few designers to subcontract out the design work to as well, if you don't have someone.

lets not forget facebook pages/apps, facebook integration, web applications for cool **** like "build your ride using our parts" which could be an awesome way to convert web users to clients, etc.

i'll bring the scotch.

Nicer build. That wheel is money. How's the boost response on those compared to the variable style stock snails? One of the things I loved most was the instant boost

These cars still boost like stock with 750-800hp, it's crazy but the vtg turbos are no joke!
