My 8th car in 5 years...

#1-6 were all 240SXs and lucky #7 was my beloved 2001 Impreza 2.5RS. Well, it was time for me to move on, grow up and take on a car payment. Bought this right off the showroom floor this past Wednesday night with 7 miles on it. I am in loveee. I wanted a white 3 S Touring but because of my lack of credit history, this is what I got.

2012 Mazda 3i Touring
Sedan
Sky Blue Mica
SKYACTIV-G 155hp 2.0L DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine with VVT
SKYACTIV-MT 6-speed manual transmission
MPGs - 27 city/39 highway

(wooot! 10 more MPGs than the Subaru!)

(changes front grille to remove front plate bracket)

(with Kyle's WRX)

Welcome to the mistake of car payments. Enjoy that color. Mazda makes some neat ones.

I traded it for this. It was time to "grow up." You know how much I love that car and I hated to see it go but without a car payment I'll never be approved for a motgage and a few years from now that's what I'm going for. Besides, 253,000 miles vs. 7 miles. The RS needed more work than I was able to handle right now.

Looks good. N00B question, but what's the difference between the Mazda 3i touring and the 3s touring?

The S Touring has a sunroof, Bose audio, fog lights, 2.5l motor (not Skyavtiv), more power, dual exhaust, rear spoiler, 17" wheels, adaptive HID headlights... and mine doesn't. I think I'm forgetting a few but you get the gist. In a nutshell, it's "sportier."

Congrats on the new car!

Ive never had a car payment, always paid cash. However I did finance my 4 wheeler off the show room floor. Payments suck!

Nice buy! The skyactive motor is a pretty neat piece of engineering.

Jackie-O!! Miss your face.

You just motivated me to be grown up and get a payment on a S1000RR.

Nice pick up. I recently got rid of my 2010 i Touring and that was also my first car payment. You'll enjoy the gas mileage and it's still a fun car - especially with the 6speed.

Thanks guys! I'm a little upset that the RS is gone but it's okay. What's not okay is the fact that my brother just told me he saw it at a used car lot a mile from my house... I wanted it far far away!

I absolutely love the 3, though. I just filled up for the first time. 362 miles in 13 gallons. Not too shabby. It should improve since I won't be driving all over God's creation showing it off anymore. Most of that was city driving and I got 28mpg with the AC blasting every day. I was lucky to get 22 with the AC on in the RS =)

EDIT. I forgot to mention I installed mud guards yesterday. I love getting parts and accessories at cost!

i used to work at mazda, i loved when these came out, i prefer the S because its a bit peppier, but the skyactive is the way to go as far as MPG and money saving
