Job Summary: The Marketing Assistant works closely with the Marketing Manager and other members of the marketing team to assist with the implementation of company marketing campaigns on various Internet sites. Scope of Responsibility: Responsible for his/her own work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Maintains and updates the company websites with updated marketing materials and other pertinent information. 2. Writes copy for press releases under the direction of the Marketing Manager. 3. Delivers e-mail marketing campaigns as directed. 4. Implements video marketing on platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, Streetfire, etc. 5. Updates and maintains the FTP site. 6. Executes social media marketing campaigns on social media outlets including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. 6.1. Receives marketing content from team and places it on relevant site 6.2. Ensures that all communications are relevant and attractive 6.3. Constantly reviews posts on social media sites to ensure positive company PR; responds appropriately to all posts 7. Assists with additional marketing projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: The job requires an Associate's Degree in marketing or related field, 1-2 years experience in marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with and knowledge of social media platforms required. Basic software knowledge (including Microsoft Excel and Word) is required. Previous experience using Yahoo! Business stores, FTP programs, HTML programs, and e-mail marketing is preferred but not required. Knowledge or interest of the automotive or aftermarket automotive industry is a huge plus, but not necessary. Key job characteristics include excellent communication and time management skills, along with the ability to meet deadlines as instructed. The incumbent must demonstrate professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills; good problem solving skills; ability to produce quality work within tight deadlines; ability to exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views; ability to give and receive constructive feedback to others; and ability to maintain positive, effective work relationships with others. most companies give a range they're willing to pay based on a number of factors. I don't think i've looked into a position anywhere in the last 5 years that i didnt get an idea of what the company was looking to pay.
it isnt worth anyone's time if they're just not going to pay enough for someone to consider applying. i'd say you should be looking at around 40-45/year if you know what you're doing. maybe more if you're really really good at this stuff. ultimately, you're in a key position to drive business in, you need to be confident that you're going to be able to do that. if you're not experienced this is easily a mid-20's to low 30's gig. i don't work for or with mishimoto, just giving an example of what i'd expect from working with people in similar positions. |
