Replacing Dash

I have a second used Dash for my 240 that is in much better shape, now if I swap the dash should I pull the VIN plate off? A little concerned about having a different VIN on the dash then on the chassis. Would it be better to have no VIN there at all?

yes, when u run the vin it would come up to the same type of vehicle but wrong info. save yourself the hassle and change the bin plate to reflect the correct vehicle.
