my friend pulled a 01 5.3 for me out of a silverado

aside from owning around 5 trucks he loaded it into his kia to save gas money.

i ordered a zr1 cam LS9, and a ls2 cam gear.

tonight i picked up a th400 and converter

going to be picking up a 8.8 mustang rear with 2.73 gears, and removing all the stock drivetrain and gas tank and going nuts.

I love the fact the Kia had a motor in it's trunk that had almost 4x the displacement of it's own.

Interesting car though. Incredible that it's only one owner. You meet them outside of bingo?

200 dollars we cut the harness off it because i am using MS1 box and wiring it mysef, much less wiring and real time tuning support of 21lbs of boost out of the box and huge injectors etc.

haha yep, i helped him build a car earlier this year we worked on it in the rain in his driveway at night, so we are used to ****ty conditions lol

elp we picked her up today from my house, took it to coreys house to start the hackfest 2012...

on the flatbed.

backed it down and popped the hood for the first time actually...

rip and hammer

then it was car and lift back to my house, not before a quick detour to pickup a 91 mustang 8.8 rear to install in this pig.

we took the pan off to check the numbers and swap the oil pump, timing chain, and throw in the ZR1 cam.
double checked the numbers and found out its a 4.8!

stock truck cam and zr1 cam, can you tell the difference lol

7500mile oil pump and timing chain from coreys truck

timed, double checked, tightened, and razor'd off the intake ports quick.
ready to go nuts tomororw.

Just helped my buddy sell one for 600 just motor and harness.

Kicker is he picked it up for 75 bucks.

yeah on a harrys motor special you can get a motor for 84 dollars with tax, we have purchased many that way

short list of updates today, no its not running yet lol, i bought about 1k worth of stuff last night including, subframe connectors, 12g fuel cell, 044 fuel pump with fittings and wiring kit (well priced comes with relay and wiring for a 044 for only 30 bux)

spent the day ****ing with these rusted and busted header bolts, cutting and removing more from the car, buttoning up the front of the motor, installing the arp rod bolts and again, more drilling, and cutting, and removing these ****ing header bolts lol, bane of my existence...

pulled the sway and mounts to make even more room in the engine bay

got pissed with my royobi saw and the ****ing safety so i took it apart and removed the safety switch, soooooo much better, i highly reccomend this sloppy mod..

4/5... taking wayyyy to much time.
