Lowered Springs on Stock Struts

I just purchased Tein Lowered Springs for my Solara, and I am reading around and it seems like everyone suggests putting on new Struts at the same time I put on the springs, because the old struts will blow out faster. I don't have an extra 400$ right now for the struts, but I will in 6-8 weeks. My question is does anyone know whether it would be safe to drive around on Lowered Springs for a month or two with the stock springs.
Now I know everyone is going to say save up so i can do them at the same time, it will save time and money. But I am installing them myself, so it isn't too much of a hassle and i won't lose any money by waiting (Because I wont be paying a second install price(or first for the matter)). And for the wasting time part, I enjoy nothing more than working on my car, so an extra hour or two under my car is a gift more than a chore.
All i want to know is if it is safe to put the lowered springs on stock struts for a month or two?

I put lowering springs on the stock struts in my 05 scion xb before I switched to coilovers. Just make sure you get an alignment after any suspension work.

You shouldn't have any problem with a few months of use on the stockers. It will ride like crap because your stock struts are desigend to work with a certain ride high/rebound rate. You will probally need an alignement after the springs and maybe even another one after you do the proper struts. When you do struts, make sure to do new strut mounts while you are there.

I think your wasting your time and doing the typical ricer/noob thing though.

Alright thanks I will, so it should be fine. How long did you drive on them? My car is a 2000, with 145k miles. so it might be different

Well I can't deny I am still kinda a noob, but i am not aiming for ricer, I just am stretched for money at the moment. I am going to have it done properly in AT MOST 2 months, I just know if I have the springs sitting in my room it is gonna piss me off and I am going to wanna install them

at 145k, your stock shocks/struts are probably blown, so you might not notice a difference lol.

I did it for like a year or 2, many different sets of springs. Yeah, it wasnt the greatest ride, but I didnt really care.

Okay awesome! I am not worried about how it rides. I mean my girlfriend might but Im not worried lol. So I am not too worried overall, I just don't want to mess up my car. I am 17, and this car is lasting me until I am at least 19.

Be thankful you have shocks available to you other than stock.

There are 2 different sets of coilovers you can buy for my car or about 4 different lowering spring options. Other than that you roll stock.

I've been on stock struts for about 2 years now with lowering springs (granted they are barely lower or stiffer than stock), and I still have the same stiff stock ride.

It depends on the condition of the struts but i don't see there being any problem in using the old struts for a month or two. I would personally wait to get new struts to get it done right the first time. Good luck with the install

I've been on swift springs for about a year on stock struts and i've been fine. However swifts are design to work a lot better with stock struts than most springs. Regardless i plan on getting aftermarket struts next years. You'll be fine,
