anyone going to upgrade to the new GoPro HERO2

specs are awesome and added more features/info to the LCD screen. Gonna have to pick one up!

sounds tits. I never bought the original GoPro's so I'm gonna have to somehow save up $300 for this by next season.

Crap. I need to get one now as well. We have an account with GoPro so I have to get this added ASAP into my system

I'm going to sell my old Hero HD.

UGH I just got mine last year! I will prob upgrade to this.

I hope they resolved the wind noise issue. Even wtih the waterproof case, it still picks up wayyy too much noise.

check the specs...it's coming with an external mic input

yea, being their 3rd one they've produced, they should have worked out and tweaked all the minor flaws. also if you dont want to drop the $300 on the new one, the "old" HD Hero is only $199 and still a sick ass camera!

my decade old digi8 camcorder still works perfectly but that doesnt mean you shouldnt move up in functionality..
clearly this has the external mic port that folks wanted.. so for those thats lookin for that option.. power to the sheeple..

this is true, but why not get the best there is?

they are calling this thier "Professional" camera and the older one their Original camera.

ever since i got one and fell in love with it, i've been seeing them everywhere, wether it be out and about just on a random day or watching a primetime TV show. these thing have been the latest craze for any type of person from a drifter to a director of photography on tv shows. where before with the "original" it was amazing for the drifter and so so for the director and now the "professional" version will be out of this world for the drifter and up to par for the directors. thats how i see it.

Never liked the older ones and i kept saying in the next 1 to 2 models to come out will be when it makes it worth buying. It's getting the point to where I need one for what i do, but i'm not really looking to spend $300 on one. Have to wait it out and see reviews.

i owned the first generation standard def hero and didn't like it, picture sucked, sound was HORRIBLE. just used the HD hero over the weekend on the bike and the picture quality was MUCH much better and sound was a lot better although still not perfect. i just may pick this new one up!

120FPS! That's sick.

I just bought the original HD a couple of months ago over the summer. I don't use it anywhere near enough to go and upgrade, I'm just glad I have one.

I was looking a picking up a GoPro Hero the other week(wanted one for awhile now). Soooo i finally bit the bullet and ordered the HD Hero2 Motorsports pack, tripod mount, and a skeleton case. Im excited. It is my 1st GoPro, so why not?
